2008 Swinging Bridge Shiraz

Following up on the NSW Wine Awards - Red Wine of the Year for our 2007 Shiraz the 2008 Shiraz continues to uphold our high standards. The 2008 Shiraz was made from particularly low yielding vines in an excellent vintage. This Shiraz has some aromas that are rich and complex with hints of blackberries, spicies and vanilla. It is a wine that drinks well now but will have the potential to cellar for the next 5 – 10 years.

2010 Swinging Bridge Rosé

The 2010 Rose has a fresh brilliant pink colour with lifted rose petal and strawberry notes contributing to a balanced crisp finish on the palate. The crispness of this wine makes it the ideal light dish or BBQ accompaniment. This wine is from the Orange region, which has become renowned for its cool climate wines and its different range of terriors.

Swinging Bridge Sauvignon Blanc

Our winemakers specially sourced the grapes for this 2010 Sauvignon Blanc from the Orange region. With its different range of terriors, cool temperatures during most of the growing season coupled with dry autumns, the region is ideal for grape growing and producing high quality cool climate wine. The 2010 Sauvignon Blanc offers intense passionfruit and lychee aromas with a hint of herbaceousness. The palate offers generous fruit flavours supported by crisp acid. This wine shows the potential of Sauvignon Blanc in Orange, which has become renowned for its cool climate wines and its different range of terriors.

2008 Swinging Bridge Chardonnay

The 2008 Chardonnay was again sourced from our top hillside block. The yields are a little lower from this block which gives the fruit added intensity. The Chardonnay shows some lemon and nutmeg on the nose while it has a fresh citrius flavoured palate with a tight finish. This wine has the potential to cellar for the next 3 - 5 years.

2009 Swinging Bridge Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon was made from an exceptional vintage. An extremely even grape ripening and a cool finish  before harvest have enhanced varietals characters. The Cabernet Sauvignon has earthy flavours of dark cherry, olive and tobacco complemented by sweet dark chocolate notes. Fine grained tannins create a wine with an extremely velvety texture. It is a wine that drinks well now but will have the potential to cellar for the next 5 – 10 years.
